400 Elizabeth Taylor's Dress Will Auctioned in New York

Elizabeth Taylor Dresses Interested in having one of Elizabeth Taylor's clothes? The end of this year hundreds of clothes from this actress who died in March 2011 ago will be auctioned in New York.

Before the auction, hundreds of dresses exhibited in various countries. The tour for the dress which lasted for three months where some of them are to Los Angeles, London, Dubai, Geneva, Paris and Hong Kong.


At least 6,000 people had seen those beautiful dresses from the actress who died at the age of 79 years. Besides dresses, thousands of people could also see a variety of jewelry owned by Taylor.

Curator of Christie, Meredith Etherington-Smith describes that collections of Taylor will not just a regular fashion items. These dresses are a buried treasure from an amazing great actress.

"There are so many collections that are works of couture, created especially for Taylor by the designers who are close friends with her including Valention Garavani, Gianni Versace and Gianfranco Ferre," he said.

Considering how remarkable Taylor's fashion collections, the price of the dress of course is not cheap. For example, a yellow dress ever worn by Taylor when she married Richard Burton in 1964. That dress expected to sell starting at U.S. $ 40 thousand to U.S. $ 60 thousand.
